Pattern Maker for Cross Stitch

We have another great machine embroidery class for you. Anita Pazeian will be teaching a new software program that allows you to have total control over the design - coloring, editing, and more. You'll be able to process your own designs plus counted cross stitch and needlepoint charts.

Millinery Class

Katie Schmidt came into the store today with samples for a beginning millinery class. Katie is a graduate of UC Irvine in Drama with an Honors in Costume Design. She currently works at Champman University as a costume designer.

If you would like to learn the basics of making a hat, this class is perfect for you. Katie will cover designing a hat, making the pattern, constructing the hat from buckram and the finishing touches of covering and decorating the hat. You'll learn how to make a flat pattern buckram hat for yourself or as a gift. You can be as creative as you like from a top hat to a large brimmed hat.

Summer Days

What are your plans this summer? David tells me that Saturday is the first day of summer. He loves those long (and hot) summer days. I look forward to shorter days and cooler weather. All I can say is thank goodness for air conditioning.

Over the next few months, we will be planning and cutting new block of the months. There were so many good patterns at Market. We're taking signups for A Vintage Christmas, GreenPiece, and A Kitten's Tale now.

Pfaff, Horn and Regal

The number one question this week, is "when are you going to open your new store?" It's getting there! We have something going on every day that brings us closer to our grand opening. We are now a dealer for Horn and Regal cabinets. They're a perfect match for our Pfaff sewing and serger machines. New notions are going up on the walls and more are on the way.

Fig Tree Club

You're invited to our Fig Tree Club starting in October. We're pretty excited about this one. Especially since our Internet customers can also participate. This club features exclusive patterns, simble projects, and coupons from Fig Tree and Company.

Sinta and I are busy planning classes for our local customers. The classes will have tips and techniques, refreshments, samples and ideas for other Fig Tree products, show'n tell, and . . . well, we're going to keep some of it a surprise!

New Classes

We have new classes for June and July - including a Saturday class with Sinta on using color in your quilts.
